Studio Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy
Students benefit greatly from the activities of the Studio Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy (Studio IGP) through special additional events that expand the regular study program and allow students to familiarize themselves with new areas of instrumental and vocal pedagogy.
Within the university, the Studio Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy serves as a vibrant platform that deals with aspects of teacher training in instrumental and vocal pedagogy, as well as elementary music education. The exchange of content and structures of the teaching program involves a constant engagement with current developments in the field of instrumental and vocal pedagogy, leading to a clear profile of the study program. The core group of subject didactic experts that form the heart of the studio also invites input and perspectives from external sources: Ideas and considerations from related fields, as well as specially invited guests on specific themes, are included in the discussions. The studio also functions as a body that takes a position on questions within the university based on the discussions among its members, thereby supporting and enriching internal university processes.
Key study offerings: Introductory seminar "Grundlagen Instrumentalpädagogik", instrumental and vocal didactics/methodology; teaching training/coaching in subject didactics
