Continuing education course CAS - Certificate of Advanced Studies

The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) program is a one-year continuing education program that follows completion of a master's degree. It provides master's graduates with the opportunity to focus on artistic deepening for an additional year at the center of their previous master's studies, for example, to complement their repertoire with specific facets. CAS is completed with a certificate from the HMDK. In addition to the main subject, students take a certain number of additional subjects that can be freely chosen from a pool.

The program requires tuition fees. Applicants can choose the extent of the main subject instruction in consultation with the relevant institute. The fees for the program are 500 € (for one hour of main subject instruction), 750 € (for 1.5 hours of main subject instruction), or 1,000 € (for 2 hours of main subject instruction). CAS is offered at the HMDK in the following subjects: Harpsichord, Conducting, Vocals, Guitar, Jazz, Jazz Composition, Chamber Music, Piano, Historical Keyboards, Song, Composition, Music Theory, Orchestral Instrument, Organ, and Saxophone.
