Our university is located in the center of Stuttgart's cultural mile, in close proximity to the state theaters, the House of History, the State Gallery, and the Württemberg State Library, and within reach of various bus and train lines in regional and long-distance traffic. Please choose a sustainable mode of transportation such as bus, train, bicycle, or walking when coming to our events. Bicycle stands are available in front of the main building of HMDK.

Walking from the Central Station to the University

It is about a 10-minute walk from the central station to the university.

• Walk towards Königstraße (pedestrian zone)
• After about 50 meters, turn left through Theaterpassage
• Continue through the park between the Opera House and Eckensee
• Pass by the Opera House on the right
• Take the pedestrian underpass to the university

By U-Bahn or S-Bahn to the University

• U9, U14 to Hauptbahnhof station or
• U1, U2, U4, U5, U6, U7, or U15 to Charlottenplatz station
• All S-Bahn lines (1 to 6) pass through the Hauptbahnhof stop!
• Here is the timetable information of the Stuttgart Transport and Tariff Association (VVS)

From the Airport to the University

• S2 towards Schorndorf or
• S3 towards Backnang
• Get off at Hauptbahnhof stop
