Bachelor of Music - Recorder

The Bachelor of Music program in recorder combines intensive artistic training with diverse ensemble experience and pedagogical studies. It prepares students for a multifaceted career in performance and education while offering opportunities to develop individual musical interests and areas of specialization.

Weekly lessons in the principal instrument focus on the continuous development of instrumental skills, tone production, and musical expression. These lessons deepen technical proficiency and interpretive competence alongside the exploration of a wide range of repertoire.

Making music together is an important component of the program. Through participation in chamber music ensembles, baroque orchestras, and interdisciplinary projects, students gain diverse experience across various instrumentations and concert formats. Studios dedicated to Early and Contemporary Music offer further opportunities to explore different artistic and aesthetic approaches and to integrate these insights into their own musical practice.

In addition to artistic training, the program provides a comprehensive foundation in musical, academic, and pedagogical subjects. Courses in music history, historically informed performance practice, ear training, music theory, and musicology broaden students' professional horizons and establish meaningful connections to their own musical work. Studies in the methodology and pedagogy of instrumental instruction equip students with the knowledge and skills to convey musical concepts professionally.

An elective component within the program provides opportunities to pursue personal interests and individual areas of focus, enabling students to delve deeper into specific topics and explore new fields of study.
