Preisgekrönte Ergänzung eines Streichtrio-Fragments von Franz Schubert durch den Absolventen Unai Ruiz de Gordejuela des Bachelor- und Masterstudiums Musiktheorie an der HMDK
Award-winning completion of a string trio fragment by Franz Schubert by the graduate Unai Ruiz de Gordejuela of the Bachelor's and Master's program in Music Theory at the HMDK.

Master Music Theory

The Master's program in Music Theory running for four semesters aims to expand and deepen artistic-scientific skills in contrapuntal, analytical, and source-based competencies. The selection of thematic focuses is discussed individually with the students at the beginning. During the program, you have the opportunity to switch between specialized lecturers. To ensure stylistic diversity, specialized topics such as medieval contrapuntal techniques, the Seconda prattica of the 17th century, national styles in the 19th century, or contemporary music beyond the usual curricula can also be addressed as needed.

The artistic-scientific work during the program may lead to participation in essay or historically stylistic composition competitions. The Master in Music Theory can also be studied as a dual focus with "Music Theory and Aural Training" (see below "Curriculum").
