Master Harp­si­chord, Maestro / Maestra al Cembalo, His­to­ri­cal Pianos

The aim of the study is to further develop artistic personality and professionalize musical and reflective competences. Graduates should be capable of performing at a high artistic level as soloists, in chamber music formations, and in Baroque orchestras or ensembles.
Certain master's programs have a specific set of mandatory courses, in addition to broad elective areas where you can freely choose additional courses.

Specifically, you should:

  • Be able to interpret works from all epochs and styles in a historically informed performance practive convincingly  
  • Be able to master the demands of playing in ensembles professionally
  • Present works of chamber music at a high artistic level
  • Have a diverse repertoire of rehearsal and practice strategies to work on works of different styles and epochs based on engagement with various performance practices and playing techniques
  • Acquire specific professionally relevant competences in written reflection through work in the areas of musicology and analysis.
