Named after the violin virtuoso and chamber music violinist who led the Stuttgart University in the 1930s, the HMDK has already announced the Carl Wendling Competition for Chamber Music in Baden-Württemberg for the second time in 2025. The competition aims to promote an intense engagement with chamber music at music universities. Student ensembles of various compositions starting from a trio formation should feel addressed, for which there are original works from at least two periods (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Modern from 1920 onwards).
