The semester collections are located on the window shelves on level 8 and are organized by instructor. Please come to the desk if you cannot find the collection you need right away.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your assistance dog to the library. However, other animals are not permitted.

No. You can bring jackets, bags, instrument cases, etc. into the library. Bulky items can be left in the entrance area. There you will also find a coat rack that you are welcome to use.

Beverages in sealable containers are permitted throughout the library. For a quick snack, please sit at the yellow tables on level 9. Here in the “Snäckle” you are also permitted to eat.

As many as you can carry. We have no borrowing limit.

You can place a reservation either in your online account or at our desk. As soon as the item is returned, we will reserve it for you.

You can order media from the magazine either using a paper form in the library or by placing your magazine order online. The media will then be available for you at the desk by noon at the latest on the next opening day. You will receive an email as soon as your magazine order is ready for collection.

Here in the catalogue. To register, you will need your library number, which you can find on your university ID card, and your date of birth (DDMMYYYY) as your password. Please also take a look at our video tutorial on library accounts, where everything is explained in detail.

Your account will be blocked if you have fees of €20.00 or more or if your ID card has expired. Please report to the desk or send an email. If you have fees of at least €50.00 in the week before the re-registration period begins, you will also be blocked from re-registering.

You can view your current loan periods at any time in your online account. Here you can also renew and reserve media. Please also take a look at our video tutorial on library accounts, where everything is explained in detail.

Generally, no. We make the grades available for your personal loan account. In urgent exceptional cases, please contact us by email.

Before the deadline expires, you will receive an email reminding you to return the items. If you do not renew the media and do not return them on time, you will have to pay late fees. This applies to everyone, whether students, teachers, or administrative staff. If the fees exceed €20.00, your library account will be blocked. You will then no longer be able to borrow, renew, or reserve items.

You are welcome to send us a purchase request using the form or by email. We will review the suggestion and let you know if we can fulfill your request.

Our loan period is usually 56 calendar days. During the lecture-free period, no loan periods expire, so the loan period is correspondingly longer. You can view your current loan periods at any time in your library account.

You can renew the loan period up to three times. There are three ways to renew:

• Online in your library account
• By email
• At the library desk

There can be various reasons for this:

• You are too early—you can only renew items 10 days before the end of the loan period.
• The item has been reserved.
• You have already renewed three times, so further renewal is not possible.
• Your library account is blocked. In this case, please report to the desk.

You must return your borrowed media without being asked to do so by the end of the loan period at the latest. If you exceed the loan period, the following reminder fees will apply:

• €1.50 per medium from the 1st week onwards
• additional €3.00 per medium from the second week onwards
• additional €6.50 per medium from the third week onwards
• additional €6.50 per medium from the 4th week onwards

You can pay the reminder fees with your university card at the desk. You can top up your university card with credit in the cafeteria or at the machine on level 6. If you are unable to pay with your university card, please contact the library team or send us an email.

Damaged, incomplete, or lost media must be replaced. Please report this to the library management. Replacement can be made either by submitting an identical copy or by paying a fee of €20.00.

We are also available outside of office hours. Please send us an email, give us a call, or knock on our office doors. You can find us in rooms 8.03 and 8.37. We are happy to help!

We will be happy to issue you with a clearance certificate. Please come to the desk during library opening hours (10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.). If your account is empty and there are no outstanding fees, we will sign your clearance certificate. We will then block your library account.

Good question. Since we have licensed databases from various providers, the access options also differ. The respective options are described on the page about our database offerings. “University login” means that you need the same login details as for Moodle. You received these login details at the beginning of your studies.

Just get in touch with us, send us an email with your questions, or use the helpdesk form. During the semester break, we also invite you to attend our writing workshop. You can find the dates here on the website in good time.

Yes, of course! We have chargers available for loan and an inductive charging station at the desk.

No. We have a very good book scanner on Level 9. To save the scans, please bring a USB stick formatted for Windows or borrow one at the desk. If you prefer paper copies, you will find copiers in the stairwell between rooms 8.34 and 8.29 and in the same location on the floors below.

Perhaps. Please send us your purchase suggestion via the website form, by email, or using the paper form at the desk. We will then review your suggestion and let you know whether we will purchase the title or not.

The same conditions apply to you as to everyone else when borrowing items. In addition, we are happy to set up a semester collection for you or register media as a semester loan if you need them for an entire semester. If necessary, please contact us either in person at the desk or by email.
