Preparation for the entrance exam
EntranceExamCheck (EEC)
The EntranceExamCheck (EEC) offers a free and non-binding opportunity to prepare for the admission test. Essentially, anyone interested in studying at our university can participate, whether they have already applied or not. Please sign up within the specified time frame if you are interested.
For the classical area, there is a Classical-EEC in autumn and spring to prepare for admission exams in music theory, ear training, piano, voice, practical piano playing in school settings, and musical group leadership.
For the Jazz/Pop area, there is a separate Jazz & Pop-EEC held in January/February, with consultations for the main instrument audition as well as the ear and theory exam components.
For the programs in the Performing Arts area, we do not offer an Admission Examination Check. The specific admission requirements for the auditions can be found on the respective program pages.
Requirements of the Admission Exams
The specific subtests to be completed during the admission examination depend on the chosen program of study. On the courses of study pages, there is a section titled "Admission Examination," where the individual subtests with their respective exam contents are described in detail.
The registration form for the Classic AEC is open during the specified period.
