echtzeit/werk_statt_festival
The semester-long format for news from the composition classes, for soloists and the echtzeitEnsemble, for challenging music of the present and the last decade(s).
With guest composers, always over a dozen student premieres and nearly 100 participants from all departments of HMDK, led and supervised by a network of colleagues from the STUDIO NEW MUSIC, each on 2 days in May/June and November/December.
Guests, recent or planned performances by, among others, Annesley Black, Raphaël Cendo, Chaya Czernowin, Frédéric Durieux, Andreas E. Frank, Malte Giesen, Sara Glojnarić, Gérard Grisey, Robin Hoffmann, Nicolaus A. Huber, Bernhard Lang, François-Bernard Mâche, Michael Maierhof, Isabel Mundry, Brigitta Muntendorf, Sarah Nemtsov, Olga Neuwirth, Georg Nussbaumer, Luigi Nono, Brice Pauset, Enno Poppe, Stefan Prins, Hannes Seidl, Mathias Spahlinger, Iris ter Schiphorst, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Øyvind Torvund, Iannis Xenakis.
A stage for experiments and spotlights on traditions and contexts, space for networking with CAMPUS GEGENWART, Forum of Early Music, Performing Arts, Performance and Media, sometimes installation, improvisation, discourse stage, summer festival,
hopefully always "(...) something completely new and unheard of"...
