Sup­ple­men­tary Studies Ele­men­tary Music Pedagogy (EMP) / Rhythm

The Supplementary Studies Elementary Music Pedagogy (EMP) / Rhythm can be completed following a bachelor's degree in music. It is aimed at graduates of BA and MA programs with an artistic and/or pedagogical focus who wish to further qualify in the field of EMP/Rhythmics.

The supplementary course imparts fundamental and advanced knowledge and skills in the specific method of EMP/Rhythmics with different age groups and target audiences. Additionally, it also offers transferable content for instrumental and vocal instruction.

The course lasts 4 semesters and is subject to fees (€300). It includes classes in artistic, pedagogical, and didactic subjects in the EMP/Rhythmics area.

It concludes with a certificate from HMDK Stuttgart, accompanied by a Transcript of Records (detailed documentation of the studied modules).

Admission Requirement: Completed music studies (Bachelor, Master, or Diploma), language skills at the C1 level, successful entrance examination.

The supplementary course initially started in a pilot phase for the winter semester 2023/24.
