Around the Course of Studies
After passing the entrance examination and receiving an offer for a place of study, you will embark on the four-semester Master's program with a final Master's examination. The course concludes with the academic degree “Master of Music.” The curriculum is organized into three main modules: in addition to the central artistic module “Conducting,” these are the modules “Wind Orchestra Conducting Theory” and “Conducting Practice,” supplemented by subject-specific elective courses. The special feature of the part-time Master's degree program in Wind Orchestra Conducting in Stuttgart is that half of the academic performance can be completed in the existing professional environment through selected career-related projects. Here, your own practical projects are integrated as a central component into the studies and are professionally supported. This way, studies and profession can be optimally combined.
