Bachelor Church Music B

The course of study Bachelor Church Music B is an 8-semester undergraduate program, divided into two 4-semester phases.

In the first 4 semesters (basic undergraduate phase), alongside instruction in the main artistic subjects such as organ, organ improvisation, and conducting, students also take classes in singing, piano, music theory (counterpoint, harmony, instrumentation), musicology, aural training, figured bass, score reading, organ building, children's choir practice, and church-specific subjects. The basic studies conclude with an intermediate examination.

In the following 4 semesters (advanced undergraduate phase), the focus shifts to the main artistic subjects, further enriched with the course oratorio conducting. The reflective subjects include analysis, and ensemble practice (choir) continues. In broad elective areas, students can set individual emphases. A direct continuation after the Bachelor Church Music B is the Master Church Music A.
