Short Description:
The demands on classical musicians have changed considerably and often excellent skills in the artistic discipline are now only part of a 360-degree profile. The participants of this workshop will receive a solid overview of the various factors of a career or their own projects as part of a solo or professional chamber music career.
This includes insights into the classical music market, management processes, marketing skills, a feeling for the market and the necessary know-how for realising one's own career strategies.
Consultings (8.12 & 9.12.: 30 minutes):
The consulting sessions are safe spaces and allow to focus on individual questions of the participants. Contents can be:
Career planning, strategy and self-management, special projects and new concert formats, artist materials(website, biography,
photos, videos, etc.), branding and positioning, contractual issues relating to engagements, other topics relating to the classical music industry

Biography:
Music curator and strategy consultant Andreas Vierziger has worked in more than two dozen countries on four continents with prominent project partners and organisations such as the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, the Vienna Burgtheater, the Welsh National Opera, the Budapest Spring Festival, Grafenegg, David Lynch's Silencio Club in Paris, Vivienne Westwood London, Netflix and many others.
As a jury member he has been invited to more than 30 international music competitions and he has been a permanent jury member of the German Record Critics' Award since 2023. Andreas was a member of the board of directors of Camerata Salzburg.
He has lectured at numerous universities, including the Paris-Sorbonne and the music universities of Tokyo, Zurich, Stockholm, Oslo, Budapest, Bangkok, The Hague, Copenhagen, Helsinki and Vienna.
