Irene Baumann works as a voice-over artist for stage and media, as well as a speech educator. After growing up by the Baltic Sea she studied social and cultural anthropology and political science in Paris, Berlin and Istanbul. After working on a variety of projects in the cultural field, she went on to study speech art and communication pedagogy, as well as earning a master's degree in speech art and singing at the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart. She can be heard regularly in literature houses, on arte, 3sat and in various audiowalks. She works as a voice teacher at the HMDK as well as at the Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf. She is a passionate audio describer for dance and performance at Gravity Access Services) and co-founder of the Richardchor Berlin-Neukölln e.V..
