Day of Church Music
Every year in January/February, we hold the Day of Church Music at our institution. It is aimed at all those interested in studying church music as well as full-time and part-time church musicians, and it is free of charge.
After a guided tour of the diverse and unique organ collection at the HMDK Stuttgart, participants can attend trial lessons in subjects related to church music studies. We offer, among other things, individual and group lessons in organ literature and organ improvisation with the professors and instructors of the organ department.
Workshops or musicological lectures complement our daily program, and the day concludes with a concert featuring performances by students and instructors from the HMDK.
