Master Or­ches­tral In­stru­ments including His­to­ri­cal In­stru­ments

The aim of the study is to further develop the artistic personality and professionalize musical and reflective competencies. Graduates should be able to perform as soloists, in chamber music ensembles, and in professional orchestras at a high artistic level. Certain master's programs have a specific set of mandatory subjects, along with broad elective areas where students can freely choose additional courses.

Specifically, students should be able to:

  • Interpret works from all eras and stylistic periods convincingly 
  • Acquire the skills to professionally meet the demands of playing in ensembles (orchestra, ensemble)
  • Present chamber music works at a high artistic level 
  • Have a diverse repertoire of rehearsal and practice strategies, enabling them to work on works of different styles and periods based on exploration of various performance practices and playing techniques
  • Gain specific job-relevant competencies in written reflection through work in the fields of musicology and analysis.
