Orchestra Board

The orchestra board aims to facilitate good communication between the different sections of the orchestra and between the orchestra and the conductor. Additionally, it serves as a point of contact for the students, the orchestra office, and the orchestra management, and participates in the planning and organization of projects.

Ideally, the orchestra board should consist of one student representative from each group: strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion/harp. At the beginning of each working phase of the University Symphony Orchestra (HSO), vacant positions are filled through elections. The term of office for a position is 1 year but can end earlier (e.g., when changing study locations or completing studies). In addition to the HSO project, the orchestra board is also responsible for overseeing the opera project in a similar manner.
