The course of studies at the Opera Institute at HMDK Stuttgart includes:

• two fully staged productions per year with orchestra and internationally experienced and renowned directors, most recently Olivier Tambosi, Bernd Mottl, Hendrik Müller
  
  
• Regular master classes with top-level directors (including Claus Guth, Willy Decker, Johannes Erath, Harry Kupfer) and singers (including Michael Volle, Angela Denoke, Doris Soffel, Camilla Nylund)
  
  
• Regular auditions with Véronique Walter (Staatsoper Stuttgart), Jean Denes (Zurich Opera House), Elisabeth Sobotka (Bregenz Festival), etc.
  
  
• Auditions for agencies, casting directors and established casting consultants
  
  
• Cooperation with the Staatsoper Stuttgart (both the Opera and the Junge Oper frequently cast singers of the Opera Institute; regular seminars and auditions with Veronique Walter)

• Opera Scenes and Stagecraft: intensive work on opera ensembles and scenes with internationally experienced directors; acting workshops (with guests including Max Hopp, Komische Oper Berlin)
