Master Piano Improvisation

The new Master's degree in Piano Improvisation is one of the first such programs worldwide, combining historic and contemporary styles, offered for classically trained pianists. It enables pianists to improvise in a wide range of solo styles – baroque, classical, romantic, impressionistic, various 20th- and 21st-century styles – and also to develop chamber improvisations and interdisciplinary collaborations with performing artists in other fields.

Application is possible for the summer and winter semester.

    Application deadline:
for the winter semester from 1 March to 1 April
for the summer semester from 1 October to 1 November
