echtzeitEnsemble
The echtzeitEnsemble was originally founded by students as the Baikonur Ensemble and in the years that followed its creation, it grew to become the work ensemble for the composing workshops. And since the Studio for New Music was founded in 2009, the echtzeitEnsemble became their “Hausensemble” under the direction of Christof M Löser. The main purpose of the echtzeitEnsemble is to bring the following to the stage: original student compositions, the wide repertoire of the 20. and 21. centuries and edited and experimental forms.
This takes place in works-shop concerts with the PolyEnsembleProject and in external performances, for example: the great Cage exhibition that took place at the Stihl gallery in Waiblingen in 2009 and – in cooperation with the new vocal soloists – at the Summer Festival in Stuttgart, as well as within the framework of the Donaueschinger Musiktage off-program in 2009 & 2010, and finally throughout a variety of smaller concerts in the region as a whole.
A number of project related interests revolving around a core of students who are particularly interested in new music always seem to give rise the most varied of spin-off formations, which often range from chamber music to large mixed ensembles.
