    How do I get there?

    Our university is located in the centre of Stuttgart's cultural mile in the direct vicinity of the State Theatres, the House of History, the State Gallery and the Württemberg State Library as well as within reach of various bus and train lines of regional and long-distance transport. Please opt for a sustainable journey by bus, train, bicycle or on foot. This way you will get to our events in a more environmentally and climate-friendly way. Bicycle stands are available in front of the main HMDK building.

    As a pedestrian from the main station to the university:
    On foot from the main station it takes approximately 10 minutes to the university.

    • From Königstraße (in the pedestrianized zone)
    • After approximately 50 meters, turn left and head through the Theaterpassage
    • Keep going through the park between the opera house and the Eckensee
    • Keep right and pass the opera house
    • Now take the underpass to the university

    By U-Bahn or S-Bahn to the university

    • U9, U14 to the Hauptbahnhof (main train station) or take either of the following subway trains:
    • U1, U2, U4, U5, U6, U7 or U15 and then get off at Charlottenplatz station

    All of the S-Bahn lines (1 to 6) go through the Hauptbahnhof (main station)!

    If you are travelling in from the airport to the university:

    • Take the S2 in the direction of Schorndorf or, alternatively,
    • Take the S3 in the direction of Backnang until you reach Stuttgart main station (Hauptbahnhof)
