DAAD Prize
DAAD Prize for outstanding achievements of foreign students
studying at German Universities
For over ten years the DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst) German Academic Exchange Service) makes funds available to German universities to award the DAAD prize (prize money of EUR 1,000) for outstanding achievements by foreign students (foreign students, no guest or exchange students).
This award is intended to honor foreign students with special academic achievements and remarkable social and intercultural engagement. The DAAD Prize is not a research award and is not intended to honor a doctoral thesis.
The University is responsible for selecting the award winner, which is chosen by the rectorate on proposal of the faculties. The awarding event of the prize will take place in an appropriate public and festive setting.
Faculty Proposals could be sent by June 30, 2023 at the latest with written justification (in particular the social or intercultural engagement of the students, including CV) and support from the respective subject members to the International Office.
The call for proposals is made once a year.
