Our institute is responsible for the students of the following courses:

• Bachelor,  Master degree and concert exam with singing as the main field of study (1,5 and/or 2,0 SWS*)
• Music for Secondary school teachers with singing as the main field of study or as an mandatory subject (1,0 or 0,75 SWS)
• Church music B with singing as an mandatory subject, church music A with singing as an optional subject (0,75 or 1,0 SWS)
• Elocution and speech training with singing as an mandatory minor field of study (0,50 SWS)
• Instrumental classes with singing as an optional minor field of study (0,50 SWS)
• Elementary music pedagogy with singing as an optional main field of study or an optional minor field of study (1,0 or 0,5 SWS)

With the conversion to the Bachelor and Master’s degree courses system, nine different profiles in the Bachelor degree course for singing were introduced. As with the Master’s degree course, singing with the profile “Ancient music” and “New music” is also possible.

In addition to the main field of study, students obtain musical supervision in coaching classes (1,5 or 2,0 SWS). Coaches are available to accompany you in lessons too.

The institute for vocal training puts great emphasis on close cooperation with the opera school’s working group, and the artistic head of Lied class, Prof. Cornelis Witthoefft (please see Master Lied).
